The Stud

Yeguada Torreluna

A Pure Spanish Horse stud in Carmona, Seville, combining tradition with the most modern breeding techniques.

Our origins

It started with a horse lover's eye.

Yeguada Torreluna was born in 2005 from the passion of its owner, Marta Cantalapiedra. She was looking for a horse with breed, but also solid and well built, beautiful and noble, with movement that would not leave anyone indifferent.

The first horses were five mares and a stallion of the Guardiola brand. Soon came Soñadora XXIX, Regatera X, Tesoro XI, Rociera XCV and Yaca VIII, together with Remache XIII, Yaco AV, Dinámico and Gavilán. All were children of the great YACO II (Marín García), considered one of the best sires of all time.

Embryo transfer from these “genetic jewels”, crossed with Remache XIII and Yaco AV, built a stud with its own clearly defined stamp.

The brand

A T, an L and the initials of a family.

Our brand is not a tower with a moon. It joins the T and the L with other initials: those of the family that founded the stud.

“Our goal is to breed the best horses, the most beautiful, with the best movement and functionality. If success in competition comes with it, all the better.”

Marta Cantalapiedra · Founder
Today

More than 700 horses, 13 countries.

REMACHE XIII, the flagship sire of Torreluna, has sired more than 500 foals, and his descendants are a constant at the top of SICAB. Our present includes world and reserve world champions such as ALBA, BÁLTICA, BAILAORA, ENAMORADA and FAISANA TORRELUNA.

Horses bred at Torreluna live in the United States, Mexico, Cuba, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ecuador, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Costa Rica, Belgium, Sweden and Italy. Leading studs worldwide use our horses to improve their genetics, many of them winning world titles.
